Southeastern Route

What you will experience

Some journeys are enjoyed for everything that changes along the way: landscapes, voices, colors and stories. The Southeastern Route invites you to discover that diversity on a journey connecting cities, communities, nature and ancient cultures.

From Mexico City, the journey continues through Puebla and Oaxaca, with visits to Monte Albán and the Central Valleys, before moving on to Tehuantepec and Chiapas. The Sumidero Canyon, San Cristóbal de las Casas and the Tzotzil communities offer encounters with landscapes and ways of life that give this region its identity.

The Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls, the remains of Palenque, the streets of Campeche and the heritage of Uxmal, Mérida and Chichén Itzá complete the journey before continuing toward the Caribbean. A route for those who wish to experience Mexico as a discovery renewed at every stage.
